June 19, 2024 - Sapporo, Japan - SmileBoom Co.Ltd. has released version 1.10, an update of "RPG Developer Bakin" (pronounced BAH-keen), which adds a decal function and improves the State Definition UI. We are also pleased to announce that the "SmileBoom Early Summer Sale 2024" with 10% discount on "RPG Developer Bakin" and the new paid DLCs "PixelScapes Forest Pack" and "Charming Chinese Townscape Pack" are now available. In addition, we would like to inform you that we are looking for "Bakin DLC Ambassadors" who will work with us to promote the appeal of "RPG Developer Bakin" and the new DLCs.

Ver. 1.10 is delivered with improved expressiveness and strategy with the addition of decal function and improved State Definition UI!
Ver. 1.10 implements a new decal function, allowing 2D images to be projected onto terrain and models. In addition, the State Definition UI has been improved and abilities added so that "states" can be created with a variety of abilities. In addition, a "transition change panel" has been added to change the effect of screen switching for boss battles and scenes entering important maps, etc., by events, a function to change selections according to conditions has been added to the "display selections" panel, a "vertical slider" that extends up and down for use in the screen UI, and various other functions have also been added.

A decal function has been implemented to project 2D images onto terrain and models, making it easy to customize 3D backgrounds with 2D images.
You can use 2D images to modify and decorate the 3D background, such as applying stickers to a wooden box or placing a puddle of water on the ground.
They can also be used as event graphics, allowing you to add effects such as bullet holes in the wall to match the event.
UV animation is also supported, allowing you to create decals such as stickers with moving directional arrows or flashing save points projected on the ground.

- Experience the new DLC firsthand! Recruiting "Bakin DLC Ambassadors" to promote the appeal of DLCs!

Since the release of the Early Access version of "RPG Developer Bakin" in October 2022, we have been developing it every day for the release of the full version, with the support of many users. In addition to improving "RPG Developer Bakin" itself, we would like to continue to increase the range of downloadable content (DLC), which will add color to the work.
Therefore, we are looking for "Bakin DLC Ambassadors" who will work with us to test and promote DLCs and spread the word about "RPG Developer Bakin" and the DLCs. Those who participate in this project will not only be the first to try out these DLCs, but will also receive free copies of targeted DLCs.
We hope that you will join us as an ambassador of support to share the appeal of "RPG Developer Bakin" with as many people as possible.

- Bakin DLC Ambassador Activities

  • We will ask for your participation to test a DLC via Discord approximately once a month, and if you are able to participate, you will be asked to review the DLC and provide feedback within an assigned period (approximately 1-2 weeks).
  • You will be asked to promote the DLC on your social networking and video sharing sites during the period before and after the release of the targeted DLC (approximately 2 weeks). In addition, the content of the posts is unrestricted as long as it does not violate public order and morality.
  • The Ambassadors will be active from July 2024 to January 2025.
  • The distributed DLC will be given away and can be used freely.

    • Must have a Discord account (all communication about the Ambassador Program will take place on Discord).
    • Must be able to review and provide feedback on the targeted DLC during the assigned period.
    • Must be able to promote the targeted DLC on their social networking sites, etc. during the assigned period.
    • Must be able to communicate in either Japanese or English.

About RPG Developer Bakin
"RPG Developer Bakin" is a game creation tool that combines ease of use and high features, making it easy for anyone to create games inspired by "your world". It includes a map editor that allows you to create maps as if you were playing a game, an event creation system that controls the game by simply arranging panels with functions, a database that provides detailed character status settings, advanced screen effect settings that can dramatically change sceneries, and many other tools.
